While there are hundreds of different types of essential oils, there are a few that I have found very supportive on this cancer journey. So in the spirit of sharing here are 5 essential oils for cancer patients. These essential oils will provide, relief and support for a more peaceful and natural healing journey.
Single oils
Frankincense essential oil: this oil has been used as a complementary cancer fighter for years. I like to apply a few drops on my feet at night as well as on top of tumor sites. Some people recommend a few drops on the back of the neck. Frankincense is said to help balance hormone levels and reduce cancer growth. Lavender essential oil: this oil is known as the Swiss Army knife of oils. It is often used as a natural disinfectant for minor cuts and bruises. It is also wonderfully calming, perfect when you feel stressed, fearful, or are having a hard time falling asleep. Natural Stress Relief | Natural Sleep Aid | Cancer Insomnia Relief.
Cypress essential oil: this oil has been used to quickly stop nose bleeds. This is done by applying a drop to the wrists and to the nostril. Cypress essential oil has been known to strengthen blood vessels so that they don’t rupture easily. Cypress oil has excellent clotting abilities. For some reason, no one could explain why I was prone to regular and very abundant nose bleeds after I started Chemotherapy. This oil helped stop them faster. Essential Oil Blends
Thieves essential oil blend: includes oils that are known to boost and support the immune system. You may be more prone to infection during chemo. Diffusing Thieves in your room and wearing it could provide some helpful defenses. I like to diffuse Thieves in my room for a few minutes during the day and for 10 minutes before going to sleep. It makes me feel like I am sleeping in a room with clean, healthy air. I also apply a few drops on my wrists and throat at night and during the day before leaving the house. Thrive is a hot blend and you may need to dilute it with a little coconut oil for example. You want to dilute it 50/50 so one drop oil for each drop of On Guard. Immune support | Low Immunity | Cancer Immunity | Low Immunity during Chemotherapy.
Digize essential oil blend: this blend is wonderful in case of nausea. It contains Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Fennel, Lemongrass, Anise, and Patchouli essential oils. All of these are excellent in case of nausea and digestion sensitivity. Apply a few drops to the palms of your hands, rub them together and cup them over your nose. Breathe in slowly and deeply through the nose. You can also apply a few drops to your chest or abdomen. There are lots of other great blends available. Give some a try. I love diffusing Citrus Fresh or Peace. If you don’t have a diffuser, this is my all-time favorite essential oil diffuser.
